I have a CSF leak that I thought was nasal drip from sinus problem. MRI determined it was a CSF leak and nasal drip tested to cofirm. I'm scheduled to have surgery at UCLA first week in November. They're going to "patch" the leak and insert a spinal lumbar shunt to prevent pressure due to the leak. I'm just a little concerned because they plan on using 'floresine' dye to ensure the leak is correctly patch since CSF is clear. Have no idea how I got this, they think it could be congenital. I now started with a cough..not sure if it's associated. i cough all the time and cough up phylem at time, especially at night. anyone wth this problem...please advice or comment in any way that could be of help.
