CSF Leak from nose

I am 53 years old male with Diabetic & BP and current residing in USA. About a month of ago, I developed pain in the right ear. While going through internet, find local remedies that by putting some raw garlic juice, it will all right. When I tried, it was very painful, just unbearable pain in the right ear for about half an hour. It subsidized the pain. About a week later, sudden there was water leak from my nose and also develop a hearing loss in right ear only. It was so quick and sudden that I can’t pull up a tissue even. While consulting with my nice (doctor), she suggested Zyrtec-D presuming the allergic to something. I took the medicine for 15 days, but no relief. While browsing the internet, I understood that it could be CSF Leak. Then I consulted my Indian friend one ENT specialist and another Neurosurgeon and both confirmed it could be CSF Leak. But I do not have any headache or any other problem expect this leak from the nose. My questions are:
1. How to confirm if it is CSF leak?
2. How serious this situation is?
3. Do I have go for surgery only or the blood patch can resolve this
4. How long I can prolong or what I do not go for any treatment
