CT Scan Report

by jmak-01, Jul 16, 2007 05:59PM
A close friend has just received their CT Scan Report and there are several terms on the report that we have trouble understanding.
It would be a great help to us if you could clarify where the specified regions are and some other terms.

1. Anterior parafalcine region (where?)
2. Extensive vasogenic edema (what?)
3. Effacement of cortical sulci (what?)
4. Lacunar infarct in the left thalamus (what/where?)
5. Microangiopathic ischemic changes (what?)

Thank you, I really appreciate your help.
