Can a CIPA-patient be sexually active?

I really need this information for my novel cause the main character is suffering from this disease and i don't know if i can make him to be sexually active. I know that a CIPA-patient can't feel pain cold or hot but what about the sexual needs, the carnal desire? Are they living their live asexually?
I'm very grateful for every answer you'll give me and thanks
