I had a sinus CT in January 2007 w/ regards to a deviated septumSepta Septoplasty. There was a comment on the CT report that nobody ever mentioned/thought was important. I just re-read it today and it says:
Umm - is my brain shrinking??? My plastic surgeon (septoplastySeptoplasty Septoplasty - series/rhinoplasty) said that brain region has to do w/ motor skills and something else...he said that when i had just gone to brush hair out of my faceFace pain at that moment if something was wrong it wouldn't have went so well.
How old are you now? Have you experienced any symptoms which could point to a neurological disorder?
The CT scan findings in your case revealed mild brain atrophy. Brain atrophy can be caused by a lot of conditions and is a non-specific finding on brain imaging. Although some causes can be serious, most of the time, this is just an incidental finding and is age-related atrophy, with no symptoms occurring.
