Can depression be related to Elevated CPK

June 1st my husband went into the ER in excruciating pain in his right arm down to his fingers.  He can make a fist but cannot open his hand with much strength.  He also cannot open a pair of scissors.  The pain has traveled to his left side but does not affect is hand strength.  He has had CT scans, MR'Is and blood work as well as a lumbar puncture.  The only thing that has shown up is elevated CPK level, but they cannot figure out what is causing it.  It is almost 4 weeks and we still have no diagnosis.  We have seen neurologists, a rheumatologist, infectious disease, orthopedic and they are still stymied.  Could elevated CPK levels be related to depression?  Even though he does not seem to be depressed.  He has not slept right for almost 8 years and has panic attacks as well.  He works alot too.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Please let us know
