Hey Jen,
Are the crawling sensations like a cell phone going off on vibration mode? That is what I had in the past. I had it for a week back in Sept, but at the time I was experience high-anxiety.
I surmised it could have been BFS.
That's a good question--you may want to ask at aboutBFS.com
From what I have read at postings over there, some people have had it for days or months or years or it comes and goes for days, or months or years. I really think it is benign, I don't think you have MS/ALS. I have read your postings from the past and sounds like the docs have given you a pretty thorough work-up. I am in the same boat as you: neuro exams and MRI all negative with no dx.
Jenny,
The "bug crawling" sensation is called parasthesia.
It may be due to low magnesium.
You can supplement your magnesium by eating foods high in mag, such as almonds.
Buy a pound of almonds at the grocery store, and eat several ounces per day.
Oral magnesium is not well absorbed in the intestines.
Magnesium glycinate is one that is better absorbed.
You have to look at the ingredients list.

Magnesium can be absorbed through the skin.
Soak for 20 minutes in a tub of warm water with a one pound bag of Epsom Salts, which contain magnesium sulfate.

Treatment with magnesium can help migraines, depression, and many other conditions.

As for the migraine that has lasted 3 straight weeks, ask your doctor about a perscription for Frova. I had a migraine that lasted 6 weeks and when I finally got to a Neurologist he put me on Frova for 3 days. I took it twice a day, at the same time each day, and it broke the cycle of the migraine. Now whenever I get one that my regular migraine medicine will not get rid of and it goes for several days, I just call my neurologist who gives me another 'script to get me over it.
Thanks for your reply. I have some samples of Frova I got from my PCP. I never tried them. Do you also take a migraine preventive med? They wanted to try me on Topamax. The neuro here thinks that these feelings are coming from migraines, MS, or psychiatric problem. The only reason I might have a mental problem is because of these strange feelings. Do you get these feelings also? Thanks!!
