Capillary Telangiectasia or Cavernoma on right hemipontine

by FoggyBrain, Feb 08, 2008 03:42PM
I have been undergoing testing for MS. So far, there are no lesions that have been found on the brain or c-spine. They have, however, found a "right hemipontine capillary telangiectasia or cavernoma"  Can anyone please tell me what this means and if it could be the cause of my neurological symptoms (balance, coordination, tingling, burning, etc. ) Thanks!

Hello.

The telangiectasia is nothing but an tangle of abnormally grown blood vessels. Most of the symptoms that you have written here can be caused by the telangiectasia. Of  course, it depends on the size of the anomaly.
