Three months ago, my 16 yr. old sister "passed out". No one witnessed the
episode. We just found her on the floor. One month later, the same thing
happened. Both episodes occurred just after she woke up and on the 5th day
after her period. She was incoherent and lethargic for about 20 minutes
after each episode. She later had a sleep deprivation
EEG which the doctor
said "showed signs of seizure activity". The doctor diagnosed

recommended Depacote(sp?). She is athletic and fit with no history of any
health problems. Is it possible that the seizures were related to hormone
imbalances ? Might she "outgrow" them ? Will these seizures continue for
the rest of her life ? Lifelong medication seems so drastic - any info.
would be appreciated.

In order to answer these questions a full review of the clinical infromation,

I would suggest that you consult with an Epileptologist for this purpose. You may call the CLeveland Clinic Section of
