Cervical Fusion & degenerative spine condition

by minerales, Apr 18, 2008 06:15AM
I am a 52 male and had a fusion at C5 C6 in 2002. It is satisfactory.

I started at a gym 2 weeks ago and felt discomfort on my left side. Since then a consultation for a "pinched nerve" on my left side radiating from my neck to my shoulder blade and elbow. It is very uncomfortable and affects my ability to pain attention at work.  This MRI reflects three osteophytes at different vertabrae (one slightly intruding in the foramen) and two flattened disks. My question is two fold.

First, when I was a younger man I had great results from cervical and lumbar manipulation. Can minor chiropractic adjustments me safely made to my cervical area?

Secondly, should I get lazer surgery to remove the osteophytes before they become a serious problem? I retire in a few years.
