Cfs leak

I had a miligram on my back in1982. There was a leak and needed a blood patch done.  Fifteen years later I lifted heavy things and the next day while making a bowel movement the worst headache of my life.  Last year after doing a show and lifting heavy things it happened again.  Now this past Saturday I did my first show of the season, I am suffering again 3days with a spinal headache.  What do I do?

YES you could still have a spinal leak.....please PM me and I will give you ALOT of info.....I had not seen this post earlier, so please let me know what has happened since you posted!!   MRI can pick up the leak, or a CT myelogram, or a cisternagram, the latter two involve a poke, which can cause another leak.

Hi...no I don't think it is a leak....I do not believe after the amount of time that pasted just lifting could cause the leak....I am not a dr.....but, I have heard that a CSF leak can cause a syrinx to form...or a chiari malformation.....

When u had the issues b4 was it a leak?...or did it go away on it's own??Unless u have a boney abnormality that is piercing the spinal cord.

If u think it is a leak...caffine and plenty of water can help some......

I suggest calling ur dr and getting an MRI....

I had a mylogram for a bad car accident there was no MRI then.  This was the next best thing.  Afterward a had a spinal leak for 2days until the blood patch.  I lifted a lot of heavy things this weekend.  Do you think it's leaking again this would be the 4th time this happened?

Hi...I am wondering if u mean a mylogram....and if so, y did u have that proceedure?

I am not sure what u mean by ur first show of the season...either.

I would suggest u see a NL and get some MRI's to see what is going on...a CSF leak can cause several different conditions that will cause the type of pain u mention.

Good luck
