Chiari 1

Would you have the surgery? It has been suggested it may lessen my symptoms?? I have an 18 month old
and I don't want to be in a worse situation.

Thanks again Selma, I am in Australia and unfortunately no Chiari Clinic here however Dr Nick Little whom I was referred to did work at a Chiari Clinic in the USA. But thanks I will keep doing my research.

  I had surgery, but that is not the question u should be asking....u want to locate a true Chiari specialist and rule out related conditions....

We r all different and depending on if all related conditions were taken into account b4 surgery there is a better chance for a smooth recovery....Surgery is  not a cure or a fix, just a means to slow progression.

I see u r in the Chiari forum, that is where u will find more answers, many of us do have journals of our Chiari surgical experience.,
