MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello dear, welcome to the medhelp forum. I can understand your current predicament and empathize with you for the same. Although it is normal to have certain headaches after decompressive surgery for chiari malformation and be continue for weeks, with a change in their location, character and severity. This however needs medical attention if unrelieved by analgesics and worsens. There is a risk of developing postoperative hydrocephalus due to cerebrospinal fluid buildup warranting a shunt. Headaches could be related to this hydrocephalus or even infection of the meninges. Consult your neurosurgeon immediately for help and evaluation. You would require an urgent MRI brain to check for these possibilities. Hope this helps. You are welcome with any further clarifications.
