Chronic Leg Pain/after RADIATION

by ivyjo, Jun 23, 2007 12:00AM
Do you think the radition I had for my rectal cancer, caused this Chronic Pain in my legs. The pain started during the treatments 2 summers ago now, and has Never left me.

Is there any relief for this pain? It affects me daily, and on a daily basis. Even while lying in bed, it's  awful. It starts up high in my thighs, and goes to my knees, and down my calf. Sometimes it is in both legs, and sometimes only one or the other, the left one seeming to be the worst. It brings me to tears, and my radiation oncologistis baffledby this. he doesn't  like to give me narcotics, but they have so far been the only thing that will aleaveate the pain, till they wear off.
Thankyou
