Chronic Sinusitis causing stroke

Could having chronic sinusitis for 30 years with constant headaches, continuous runny nose/blowing of the nose, use of antibiotics and nasal sprays cause a cerebral hemorrhage later in life? My grandfather died two years ago. He had this problem since the military back in 1942. Could these problems have caused or been part of the cause of his stroke?

I'm sorry to hear what happened. Chronic sinusitis is a problem (infection) in the air spaces in the skull bones while stroke has something to do with the blood supply of the brain. Based on these different pathologies, it is highly unlikely that one might lead to another. The nasal sprays are mostly composed of salted water to ease in the clearance of the secretions and should not have any other effects. Antibiotics also are very unlikely to have caused a hemorrhagic stroke. Hemorrhagic strokes are most commonly caused by uncontrolled elevation of blood pressure that can cause some of the vessels to burst.
