Chronic Undiagnosed Sacral Pain

Posted By Shane Sipe on March 30, 1999 at 10:42:40:

For more then a year my wife has suffered from chronic undiagnosed sacral pain.
She has had two MRI's, two sets of x-rays, two bone scans, a lapporocipy
, a sicmoidoscipy, and a sympethetic nerve block. In addition to western medicne
she has seen numerous chripractors, accupunturists, and had rolfing done.
Currently she is working with a local pain specialists that is running out
of ideas. To deal with the pain she requires a substantial amount of daily
pain medication. My concern is two fold. I would welcome any insight on potential
causes of this problem, or possible procedures, specialists, or treatment.
My other concern is what the pain medication will do to her liver over a
long period of time. Any insight would be greatly appricated.
