My friend had a concussion during a basketball a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys over two years ago. He has had previous concussions during his life and has had seizures after the fact. I am not sure about all of the information on his concussions. Recently when we sat down to talk he notified me that he could not remember specific events of our senior year of high schoolPreschooler development Preschooler test Preschooler test or procedure preparation School age child development School age test or procedure preparation School-age children development before he had his concussion. During our senior year right before Christmas was when he had the concussion. He told me that all kinds of certain events are fuzzy. He can’t remember our junior prom, or he can’t remember winning state in the 4x800 Relay in track, 5 months after his concussion. He is really worried and doesn't want to worry his parents with the burden of his memory loss. He doesn't know if as he gets older his memory is going to be worse or what is going on, but he is very scared. I have no idea what to tell him or if he should get tests done or even if this is normal. Any help would be grateful.
It is very likely that your friend is suffering from post concussion syndrome. Post concussion syndrome can occur months and years after the concussion. It is characterized by headache, and memory loss and irritability.
It is hard to tell if this is what it is without a neurological exam. I would suggest you to ask him to get a neurological evaluation done as early as possible.
