Continued Elevated CK/CPK

Please provide more information as to why one would have a continuing elevated ck/cpk. My last ck reading was 617, and before that, 607. I have had high ck/cpk for many years. I have been evaluated using emg, muscle biopsy, ekg and other blood work. My highest level was over 800. At one time, the concern was that the statin might be the problem. However, my ck has been in the 400-600 range even before taking statins. I am now on lovastatin--since 7 Jul--after stopping zorcor for 7 years. I do suffer from some neuropathy from a corpectomy, and some muscle weakness, I guess with age (70). Still, I don't understand ck/cpk enough to know why I continue the levels I experience. Never knew about the different ck enzymes;however, I have been tested at least for the heart ( as guess brain) with no known affects. Appreciate whatever education you can provide. Thank you.

I just want to know how high the CK level can get before that person dies? I had a CK level of 968,674. Yes. It really was that high. It was the worst thing that has ever happened to me.
Please email me with any information.
