Cord Compression in Thoracic Spine

Cord Compression in Thoracic Spine

I had a very bad car accident last July.  I recently had an MRI done because of Thoracic back pain.

The MRI found.

Asymmetric disc protusions at T6-7 and T7-8 indenting the ventral aspect of the cord.  I also have a disc extrusion seen to the right at T8-9 indenting the ventral cord.

Is there surgical procedures to correct this?  If so what type?  I've been told doctors do no want to operate on this area of the spine.  I have consulted a neurosugeron but will not hear back from in office until next week.

I suffer from tingling in the legs some loss of sensation and have had some bowel issues.
