Could all these problems actually be ms symptoms ?

Ok so, i went to the hospital yesterday to collect the results of an mri scan i had done on my spine and shoulders, but after then having x-rays done as well i was told there was a problem with my shoulder which is what i was there for partly anyway, but i have several other medical problems and it was suggested to me that they could actually all be related as symptoms of ms, i have had a problem with my left eye for a few years where i suffer from double vision, i suffer from bad memory loss, have trouble completing my sentences which i have always put down to my epilepsy which i was diagnosed with 4 years ago, i am 32 and female. I have had 2 operations last year for nerve trapment and nerve damage in both my elbows and still suffer from numbness, tingling, loss of movement, loss of muscle use and a lot of pain in my arms and hands, i have severe pain in my shoulders and upper and lower back and also have sciatica in my leg where i loose feeling and use of that leg. i also suffer from bladder control and have to frquent the toilet about a million times a day, now seperatly i have always put these down to the various medical problems that i have, but when they are thought about together i have been told they are symptoms of ms, there is a family history of ms, i didnt even think about it until it was suggested the thing is i am now waiting for a injection of steriods and local aneastic in my shoulder and then it will be six weeks before i see my consultant again, should i wait to ask her or should i consult my gp ?

Hi there. The symptoms of multiple sclerosis are loss of balance, muscle spasms, numbness in any area, problems with walking and coordination, tremors in one or more arms and legs. Bowel and bladder  symptoms include frequency of micturition, urine leakage, eye symptoms like double vision uncontrollable rapid eye movements, facial pain, painful muscle spasms, tingling, burning in arms or legs, depression, dizziness, hearing loss, fatigue etc. You have many of these symptoms. The treatment is essentially limited to symptomatic therapy so the course of action would not change much whether MS has been diagnosed or not. The shoulder symptoms would receive the planned injections per se. you can discuss with your GP until you get to meet your neurologist for these symptoms and check whether the appointment could be preponed. Take care.
