Could pterygopalatine fossa lesion cause headache?

About 9 months ago I started having stabbing, burning right-sided headaches.  The pain is centered behind the eye, near the nose and radiates to the ear and down the throat. The "attack" lasts a few days then clears up for a month or so.

My primary ordered an MRI which showed a lesion filling the right pterygopalatine fossa.  The ENT, who did not examine me because she said the MRI was all she needed to make a diagnosis, said I had allergies and futher workup or treatment was not warranted. She called the lesion "incidental".

I did a bit of research and self-diagnosed cluster headaches possibly caused by the lesion.  My questions is: what would be reasonable treatment using over-the-counter meds and any other self-help methods?  I am pretty normal between attacks but am very miserable during an attack period. I understand one can get rebound headaches even using over-the counter meds. Thanks!
