Could the MRI have missed something???

Could the MRI have missed something???

About three and a half years ago I started having these dizzy spells that would make me real sick at my stomach, tired, cause headaches, things like that.  Well at the time the doctor I was seeing thought seizures.  Shortly after my EEG came back normal I passed out for what seemed to be no reason.  At this point I had an MRI done which also came back normal.  To make a long story short ... here I am three and a half years later with the same problem and no diagnosis, only now these spells are happening more often and I am also having trouble with my balance and have recently just fallen over while walking through the house.  I am having another EEG done and have an appointment to see a nuerologist but am just a little concerned that maybe that MRI I had done a few years back didn't show what might still be there.  Is that possible?  Could there have been some kind of tumor and is only getting worse now but wasn't seen on the MRI?  I know all of this will be addressed at my appointment with the neurologist ... I am just curious to know now.  Thanks for your help!

Hi,

How are you?
Dizzy spells and headache also occurs in inner ear diseases like meniere’s disease.
Migraine headache can also present with dizzy spells and headache with nausea or vomiting.
A brain tumor would have produced other neurological symptoms till now. However it is very difficult to tell without a neurological exam and MRI.
You can discuss these possibilities with your neurologist. Do keep us posted!
