Could this be MS

by jessann319, Oct 16, 2009 08:07AM
I am a 29 year old healthy female who recently (for 2 weeks) have had some weird skin sensations (sensitive) I first noticed this on my right side of my chest then the right side of my back. From there it went to my left wrist, top of right knee and now I can feel it in my right pinky finger. I can only feel this when the area is touched or rubbed by clothing or when I am concentrating on it. It doesn't hurt just odd. I thought maybe it was shingles again (I had shingles when I was 16), but I never broke out in a rash. I also have herpes. I have had anxiety for the last 18 months due to husband working overtime, new baby that doesn't sleep and building a new home.  What could this be?  I am scared to death this is MS.  I have not had any other symptoms besides the ones mentioned above.

Hi,
How are you? Multiple sclerosis occurs when the body's immune response attacks a person's brain and spinal cord. It is the gradually progressive deterioration of neurologic function of the body. This condition is difficult to diagnose because it can present with common symptoms. Your medical history and several tests such as neuroimaging, analysis of cerebrospinal fluid and evoked potentials may help with the diagnosis.
Take care and do keep us posted.
