Have some isolated episodes of mild HBP, till 155/95 (situations of more stress–that my physician says is anxiety and I don’t need hypertensive medication). I have sedentary life but I walk all week days to my office, and home again–This means 2 times about 1,1 km (nearly 2 x 0,7 miles) a day (2 times about 15/20 min each), 5 days a week.
Some days ago I was lunching and, between soup and main dish, I felt some difficult to swallow, started to be with my face hot and felt week and lightheadness/dizzy (it´s difficult to describe the symptom well) like when it seems that we are nearly fainting. This last only a few seconds (5-10s, maximum). Then I recovered but my heart started to beat more quickly (high 90’s) for some time. No other symptoms. The room was with much people and some sweltry. Questions are:
-Seems this to be a TIA?
-If not, moment difficult to swallow could have any relation between trying to inspire air and swallow at same time?
-Could it only be a moment drop of blood pressure?
-Are TIA’s always warning symptoms that a stroke is coming some soon?
-If not, what else could be in origin of TIA’s?
-What are my probabilities of having a stroke?
Thank
