Cranial malformation from Torticollis?

Cranial malformation from Torticollis?

At age 2 and one half years, my granddaugther was born with/developed Torticollis shortly after birth. She looked perfect for several weeks, then her head began appearing mishapen.  Possible causes of the Torticollis have been given as: small uterus causing her to lay on one side in utero, remaining too long in the birth canal with head pressure, fast twisting delivery. The neck tension/spasm seemed to resolve after about 6 months of exercises and craniosacral therapy.  Now she has good neck motion and her head has reshaped somewhat. There was some improvement of her head for the first year and onehalf after her birth, but I do not see any progress the last year.  At this point, one cheek and one eye are still flatter than the other and her head is mildly-moderately mishapen. These are obvious to anyone but the casual observer. Can we expect her head to reshape any further and if not can anything be done? Any experts in the field you would recommend.
Thanks so much, worried grandmother.

At this age it is unlikely that the head will re-shape on its own. There are re-constructive surgeries which can be performed, and typically involve a team between a neurosurgeon and a plastic surgeon. The pediatric neurosurgeon at our institution is Dr Mark Luciano, he would be a wonderful person to see regarding this issue. Good luck
