Craniotomy

I had a craniotomy in 2004 to remove an Osteoma from my skull and now I experience terrible migranes (migraines) when I am under lots of stress at work.  The thing is that even my neck gets stiff and the pain is unbearable.  Aprox. a month ago I had swelling under the surgery site, puffy eyes and photophobia on and off and CT Scan showed that everything was normal and the diagnosis for the swelling was "Unknown etiology ".  If I exert myself excercising I immediately get the puffy eyes.  What could be happening?

First of all, I don't think that your headaches are migraines.  It sounds to me as if you're having tension headaches - there's a band on muscle that starts at the back of your neck and goes all the way around your head, and when it's tense ans spasming it's very painful.  The fact that your neck is stiff and you're under stress tells me that that's probably what the headaches are from.  Now, if you're getting an aura before the headache happens, then it could be a migraine, but from the information you've given here, I don't think it is.

The eye puffiness is probably because you're exerting yourself and your blood pressure goes up.  It happens to me, too.  Don't worry about it.
