Creuzfeldt-Jakob syndrome?? Am I being paranoid or do I have reason to worry????

I'm 24 years old, and as of two days ago, I have noticed that I have been a little off lately. I miss pronounce words that I use frequently, and that has freaked me out a little. I started wondering if that is a symptom of Creuzfeldt-Jakob disease, which is basically mad cow disease in people, because I read somewhere that when someone contracts this disease, they start to loose their cognitive function. Just last night, I also developed a light pressure on my forehead. I couldn't sleep last night because of it, and I read that loss of sleep was also a symptom, and since then the pressure in my head had gotten a little worse, but it has calmed down now. My girlfriend tells me I am just being paranoid, and that I probably just have sinus pressure. I eat red meat about once or twice a week. Could this have made me more likely to contract this disease? or am I just being paranoid?

thank you so much for your comment caryopteris. I took sinus medicine and am starting to feel better as far as the head pressure. And after further research, I found that there have only been 3 confirmed cases of this disease in the United States, and there is strong evidence that points to these people having contracted the disease overseize. My paranoia is subsiding LOL. thanks again.

Most people do eat beef.  Since this disease is extremely rare, while your symptoms sound very common, you sound paranoid to me.  Your symptoms sound more like sinus pressure from a change in barometric pressure.  I believe you will live, though you may wish to take an NSAID.
