DISCOMFORT IN SHOULDER/ARM (LEFT)

I AM 35 YR OLD FEMALE. HYPERTENSIVE AS OF 11/2007 ON MEDS ATENELOL I HAVE HEART TEST LIKE STRESS ETC CAME BACK OK. I HAVE LARGE BREAST AND BELLY NEEDS WORK TOO CAN BE TAXING ON SPINE. OK NOW I HAVE PAIN IN MY LEFT SHOULDER FEEL LIKE MUSCLE SOARNESS AND CHEST PAIN IN ARM SOMETIMES TINGLING ESPECIALLY WHEN RESTING ON ELBOW WHICH I DO OFTEN. WHEN ON ELBOW FEEL LIKE ON A NERVE. I ALSO KNOW FOR A FACT THAT I HAVE STRAIGHTENING IN THE NECK (HAD XRAY)(CERVICAL SPINE HAS LOST IT NATURAL CURVE). NOW MY QUESTION IS CAN THIS CAUSE NERVE DAMAGE IN ARM FEEL WEIRD IN MY  ARM AND UNDER MY ARM PIT. AND IT IS SCARING THE HELL OUT OF ME. BECAUSE NUMBNESS AND TINGLING CAN BE ASSOCIATED WITH HEART ATTACK AND STOKE. COULD I HAVE NUEROLOGICAL DAMAGE AND IF SO WHAT TESTS CAN I TAKE TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON .OH ALSO 2 YEARS AGO I HADE AN XRAY OF SHOULDER AND THEY SAID I HAD BURSITIS IN IT. COULD THAT ALSO BE THE PROBLEM AND CAUSE TINGLING AND PAIN TO ELBOW. OH AND ONE MORE THINK I AM AN XRAY TECH AND I DO A LOT OF LIFTING AND REPTITVE MOTIONS.
THANKS YOU

hi there!
This pain which is associated with the tingling and numbness, how long has it been going on? does it come and go? do you ever feel lightheaded? are you tired alot? I am asking because it sounds like you could have MS. I know this because my finace has it and from what you are describing it could be the beginning stages of it. You should ask your DR about it and get an MRI first. What they look for is little white specs which are called plaques or better know as lesions. These lesions attack parts of the brain and mess with your central nervous system causing a large range of problems such as what I previously mentioned and not limited to optic neuritis (SP?),loss of coordination, pain,
sensitive to heat again just to name a few. The real true test to see if you have MS is to get a lumbar puncture better known as a spinal tap, in this procedure they are looking to see if you have a calcium build-up which they call meglin (SP?) if you have so much of it they can tell by that. Hope this helps! good Luck!
