Daily Headaches...

Hi..  I am a 25 year old female.

For as long as I can remember, I have had headaches.  Actually, I call them headaches because I know of no better way to describe my pain.  These pains usually occur after eating.  I can best describe these pains as a mixture of dizziness, fatigue, and irritation.  Occasionally, those pains are also accompanied with 'head throbs'.  It is never the same 'throb'.  Some times it feels as if someone shook me really fast and I am feeling the after effect of that.  Sometimes it feels as if my brain is expanding causing it to rupture against my skull.  Sometimes it feels as if someone is sticking a needle between my eyes, or in the back of my head.  Most times when I feel the pain in the back of my head, it is usually accompanied with a hard 'knot' in the same place. About 4 days ago, I had my first migraine.  As my head throbbed, I also heard the sound of my heart beating through my ears so I now know what I have had in the past can not be classified as a migraine.

A couple of minutes ago, I ate a chocolate chip granola bar.  That headache pain that it caused was so unbearable it prompted me to search online for help.  Another reason for my online activity is my unborn child.  I am 4 months pregnant and I don't want the time spent with my child to be cut short by a headache.  Due to the pain from the granola bar, I ate some BBQ Fritos.  While eating it, the pains seemed to stop, but immediately following it started back.  Yes, after most headaches I turn to food hoping that eating a different type of food would stop all pain.  I also lay down for a while and after a nap, my headache and pain is gone.

In the past, I have gone to several doctors regarding my headaches and pain.  I have been tested for diabetes which came back negative.  I also had a CAT scan which came back normal.  I have been giving medicine for sinuses and stress to alleviate my headaches.  The stress pills stopped the headaches but because I was only 16 at the time, my mom didn't want me to keep taking them.  I also went to a chiropractor for my headaches.  I was told that my spinal cord was unaligned which could cause my headaches and pains.  I stopped going after only three months because the three sessions a week was interfering with my college coursework.

About 4 years ago, I had a panic attack.  I was unable to breath, began sweating profusely, and became dizzy and very weak.  After that, I have had minor attacks but nothing compared to the first one.  I also catch hot flashes.

I wear glasses and because of my job, I sit in front of a computer for at least 8 hours a day.

I would like to go to another doctor for my headaches and pains and hopefully gain some understanding on them, but I want to make sure I go to the correct one.  At this time, I don't know which kind of doctor to go too.

I am trying to be as detailed as possible, in order to be directed to the best kind of doctor that can help me..

Any and all information and advice given will be greatly appreciated. Thanks..
