Dandy walker variant

Dandy walker variant

We are into our my 22nd week of pregnancy.Everything was normal till yesterday's ultrasound, the ultrasound suggested that fetus (baby boy) has a dandy walker variant.

Everything is normal with the brain/heart beat, kidney.no enlargement of skull etc are seen The only defect is that the interior portion of vermis is missing.

1. Is there a possibility that the vermis would grow / be visible after some weeks?if not at 22nd week?

2. Is there any advanced diagnosis available to check further on this ?

We appreciate if you could help answering the above questions and share any information you know

There are many links on Google for Dandy Walker, I was able to find a great one but for some reason, when I posted it, the entire thread disappeared along with comments. Just type in Dandy Walker Variant and hopefully you'll come across the one that I found. In the article a Mom discusses her child and the progress that her little girl has made throughout her life.

Best Wishes,
