Dealing with BET

I am 71 years old and up to about 6 months ago I haven't taken any medication, however, I do have BETs and my head and hands were getting out of control.  I started with 20 mgs of Inderol and had 2 real bad dizzy spells, so my doctor recently put me on 100 mgs of Primidone and so far I have only had 1 dizzy spell, but also in the last 3 weeks have had nose bleeds, but only from my left nasal passage, could this be related to Primidone and why such a big increase in dosage from the Inderol to the Primidone?  

Curious also about Topamax and if I should go on that about how big a dosage I should go onand how this works for BETs I truly don't know what do.  The Primidone does seem to be working and a few days I have forgotten my afternoon dosage of 50 mgs, am and pm and I feel just 50 mgs works better than the 100 mgs.  I do have a doctors appointment next week, but I would love to hear from a neurologist on the subjet.
