Decontee

I was admitted into the hospital due to a severe headache, neck pain and back pain. They thought it was an anuerysm as they found blood in my spinal fluid and thought there was blood in my brain. Several MRIs, CTs, CTAs, Spinal Tap and other test were done and they all came back normal. After 10 days of being in the hospital I was discharged only to be readmitted 4 days later for severe dizziness, so dizzy I can't walk. The same test were ran again and nothing was found. The doctors don't know what to tell me. This is the 3rd hospital that I have been to. Although the headache has lessened it has never gone away, and the neck and back pain, and dizziness continue to be there. They will be dischared from the hospital on Monday.  What is wrong and what should I do now?

I have been seen by at least 3 neurologist since I was admitted into the hospital the first time and seen more since being admitted into the hospital the second. I was admitted to the hospital when the neurologists had all of the test ran. I have been talking with the neurologists on a daily basis about my condition and they have no clue, they said that they don't know what is going on with me. It was a neurologist at the second hospital who sent me home because he did not see anything in my MRI or CT scan.  Because my headache was so severe I instantly went to another hospital who admitted me for 10 days and ran all of the tests but still found nothings, they only gave me meds for the pain. I am scared and don't know what I should do now. They have ruled out vertigo, meningitis, and they are not sure about the aneurysm, all of the tests are showing nothing but I still have a headache, neck pain, back pain and now dizziness.

I would definately see a neurologist asap. They can run some more specialized tests and might have a better idea what is going on. Because of your recent visits you should be able to easily get a rushed referral...just ask the hospital and if not, your general doctor. As much as we would like to thinkthe ER is the end all place to go to get diagnosed it simply is not. ER doctors do not study and know the symptoms of rare diseases and problems. That is not what they trained to do. When the normal tests come back normal...they take it as a sign to let you go and figure it out on your own with a specialist. So again, please go see a neurologist asap. Good luck to you!
