Depakote DR Generic

Depakote DR Generic

Hello and thank you in advance for your help.  I have been taking Depakote ER (250) for several years, and was just switched to a generic formulation sold by Upsher-Smith.  The consulting pharmacist at my pharmacy explained the urgency to get my blood levels checked after several months just as a precaution.  When I came home and looked up the tablet in the "pill identifier" it stated the Upsher-Smith tablet was Divalproex Sodium, but did not say "Divalproex Sodium DR" as my prescription read.  It was the only pill identier I could find on teh internet. The capule (faceted on the side) is opaque pink/mauve and has U-S 181 written on one side.  I could not find any reference to it on the Upsher Smith website either--do you know where I might find out if, in fact, my tablets are the delayed-released version or not?

Thank you for your help.
