Deteriating disk and scoliosis

My question is what more can i do to help myself other than going to the doctors for help i have curvature of the spine and i have 2 disks that are deteriating and i am in so much pain, i dont know how to describe it. It has gotten so bad that i couldnt move a muscle at all and the doctors here in my town (Carlsbad New Mexico) havent really done anything except take X-rays and i go to a chiro. to get my back and that popped but other than that that is all. Should i see aboout getting a MRI done on my back to see if there is something more or What do I need to do to help me... It hurts to sit for along period of time.. In high school it hurt to carry my back pack around.. Frequently i am runing out of places to go here and no one can really answer my questions or help me.. I really dont wnat to have back surgery unless if it is like my last option. But What can i do to help the doctors to help me. What other steps can i take to improve more . I cant  stand the pain, i am in pain constantly ....

Get thee to your doctor and request an MRI immediately. If you have deteriorating discs pushing on your spinal cord, that is very serious. You didn't note any symptoms of numbness or trouble walking, but any back pain as severe as yours is needs testing as soon as possible. It sounds like you may need fusion to stabalise your spine. what degree is your curvature? That makes a big difference in what your options are. If you don't know, they can measure the degree using your x-rays.
