Devics

My brother was diagnosed with Devics. He first lost his eye sight about 5 months ago since them he has had a few optic neuritis relapses. That has been the only symptom of the devices. He has not experience any numbness in his legs or any of the other symptoms. It’s possible to have devices and only have optic neuritis?

Hi,
How are you?
Devics disease usually involves the eyes and the spinal cord. The symptoms of optic neuritis are usually the first to develop followed by symptoms of spinal cord dysfunction like muscle weakness and bowel and urinary problems.
