Diagnosed of Cancer...

by Wormwood83, Jan 19, 2009 09:26PM
I was diagnosed with a type of brain cancer when I was 18. The neurologist suggested that the cancer caused for a large portion of my brain matter to be void and that area was growing. At the time the doctor gave me 5 years to live. That was 7 years ago and the doctors say I came out of my remission type stage. Chemotherapy and radiation are not viable treatments and surgery is to risky. I would like to know if there are other cancers similiar to this and if anyone has experienced any type of treatment that proved effective.

Hi,

It would help to know exactly what type of brain cancer do you have and in what stage is the cancer.

Chemotherapy and radiation therapy are usually used where surgery is too risky. Why is chemotherapy and radiation therapy not a viable option in your case?

Please elaborate.
