Diagnosing

by Boatbuilder, Mar 26, 2008 10:28AM
Will a nerve biopsy reveal what type of peripheral neuropathy I may have? And are there any problems or side effects with this procedure?
   Thank you al.

Hello.

Yes, the nerve biopsy can give information about most of the neuropathies. It can also differentiate between neuropathy or a non-neuropathy cause.

This procedure is pretty much a safe procedure. If done correctly, the procedure should not have any complications.
