Disassociative damage

by davebanner, Feb 11, 2009 12:01PM
I am an 19 year old college freshman, and i have recently become concerned with my health. When i was 17 i abused cough syrup, specifically robitussin, roughly 12 times in one month and never since. Subsequent research has revealed to me the dangers of disassociative drugs, specifically to the NMDA receptors in the brain. I wonder if there is any hope to lead a normal life after use of this drug. I am fairly smart, but I now constantly wonder if my capabilities will rapidly decline because of mistakes in the past. Are there any former users of disassociatives (DXM, PCP) who managed somewhat cohesive lives after use? Or am I doomed to constant forgetfulness and confusion?
