Diskectomy confusion

I had a diskectomy in 2001 on 5/6 - 6/7 cervical spine. Surgery went great. I was pain free and went back to work whith in 3 monthes. I was building trucks on the assembly line. In October of 2003 I started a new job in the plant. I was taking a 12 inch metal hook and pulling down on the truck hood closing it. My arms were above my head with my head tilted back. I blew out another ****, the one on top of 4/5. The work doctor said it was a failed surgery  from my first surgery. I had a disk that did not fuse comletly at the time this happend, It is fused now. My doctor said this false information, we have numerous ex-rays showing there is no movement in there. He said it was from the preasure I was putting on the disk above the titanium plate when pulling on the heavy truck hoods. Is this area weaker or more suseptical after a surgery such as I had? Which doctor was closes to being right?

I can't take any particular side, but I can mention that probably the doctor who did you surgery was correct.

After discectomy and spinal fusion, the other adjacent discs become more prone to herniation. The extra pressure may be too much sometimes.

Have you planned one more surgery?
