When I get up quickly I experience Dizziness and some numbnessNumbness and tingling in my lower extremitiesExtremity arteriography..The doctor just said I have low blood pressurePressure ulcer. The condition is getting worse. Can eating more regulated meals ( I am thin) and some type of exercise help or is there something else that I need to be concerned with. I am worried and my Dr. just seems to blow this off...I am in my early 70's. HELP....
Drink a lot of fluids to increase your blood pressurePressure ulcer by increasing the volume of blood being pumped.
Look on the bright side, though...people who have low blood pressure have a lower risk of stroke, kidney disease, and heart disease, though this is only desirable so long as you don't experience the symptoms of your blood pressure dipping TOO low--namely, organ damage. It sounds like you're getting close to that...so you might want to really push the fluids and do some light exercise (walking/fast-walking) to get the blood flowing and get your heart pumping at a faster rate.
