Dizziness, left-side weakness & pain, and tingling

Hello. I posted the below about 9 days ago and have not received a response. Anyone have any ideas? The symptoms have changed somewhat. Now I feel dizzier more of the time, get fatigued and sleepy very easily, and have a lot less strength in my left leg than in my right. In addition, I feel a sort of warm tingling sensation on the top of my left hand, over the tendons, a persistent ache in my left deltoid, and an almost crampy feeling in my left forearm. The most pronounced symptoms, however, are great soreness in the left hamstring and left calf -- especially on the medial side of the calf. The whole left leg is weaker, stiffer, and unsteadier than it was until just two weeks ago, and much weaker than the right. In addition, my libido has abruptly dropped way off. At this point MS seems pretty likely to me, but searching these symptoms on the internet brings up lots of possible causes. I have no insurance and can't afford to see a physician unless it's absolutely necessary. Any help? I'm frightened and worried and need help. Please answer.

"I am new to this forum, so I'm not entirely sure how to use this resource. But, here goes:

I am a 45 year-old male who is generally in good health. I have always had what is probably best described as a slight essential tremor in the hands. However, recently, I have developed considerably greater tremors, particularly in the thumb and index finger of my right hand and even more so in the thumb, pinky, and index finger of my left hand. Usually at rest nothing twitches, but under contraction or when trying to execute a movement or task, the twitching/tremors often become extreme. I also feel tight and maybe tingly on the top of my forearms and a sort of almost bony ache in the fingers of each hand. Anyway have ideas? Google research suggests many possibilities, from diabetes to stroke to toxins to various neurological conditions. The last seems most likely, which is why I am here. Any useful information or suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks."

Hello,

I am sorry you are suffering with these symptoms.

I definitely feel you should see a neurologist.  You are not alone here.  I am in limboland for MS.

I would like to refer you to the top right-hand corner of the page for the "Health Pages."  There is a lot of great information here.

Also to the left upper side of the page are your applications where you can document your symptoms for your history.

I would start keeping a diary of your symptoms using these applications to give to a neurologist.

MS can be difficult to diagnose and can take a long time.

I would at least consult with a neurologist firstly and then go from there.

Feel better soon...

Pernicious Anemis and Iron deficiency Anemia may be a possible cause. I am extremely iron deficient with exactly the same symptoms!
