Do I have Viral or Bacterial Meningitis ?

The ER doctors suspected the possibilty of viral meningitis however they could not exclude the possibilty of a bacterial cause unless I have a lumbar puncture test which I refused. My reason for refusing the test was due to a pre-existing neurological condition (Autonomic Dysfunction) which makes such procedures risky for myself. So I am hoping the experience you guys have had can help me identify and put my mind at ease..

Most importantly can I find comfort the fact that I'm still alive after having 3 days of meningitis symptoms to be a result of viral menangitis (meningitis) rather than bacterial menagitis which I heard can kill within 24 hours ?

It started 3 days ago with all the clasical symptoms of meningitis except for rash and vomiting, In addition to constant severe neck pain and headaches and fever, I've had nausea, night sweats, chills and eye pain especially when trying to move my eyes left or right.

I'm also finding that everytime I sit up, stand up, tilt forward to wash my face or tie my shoes or even when I give a slight squeeze to cough, burp or during a toilet visit I end up experiencing a very painful electrical like jolt or rush type senstaion in my head mainly on the right side near my temple or behind my right eye. I am actually now scared to move just to avoid feeling this. It seems to be a direct result of any type of activity that increases pressure in my skull. Has anyone else had this ?

Finally all this neckpain and pressure seems to have now aggrivated a past neck problem as even the slightest movement is now causing instability in my neck along with roughness, clicking, crackling and spasms. Anyone else had such issues. Thank you for any help.
