Are my headaches menstrual(is that what you're asking)? -if so, then I really don't know. I've just had headaches all of my life no matter:/. Thanks for the information though: ).
I have noticed the same thing recently. I am used to one or two headaches the week of my period (or maybe the week before/after), but generally I don't get many headaches unless I'm really hungry or dehydrated. I was recently on the BCP and had been getting more headaches. I had headaches for 10 days in a row one month and noticed IBS symptoms. I had never had IBS before (I'm 36). I went off the pill and the headaches went away somewhat and so did the IBS, although I still notice a little problem with both. My understanding (and I'm no expert) from reading online is that this is possibly related to serotonin levels in the brain and in the GI tract (related to hormones--estrogen?). There is not a lot of research on it, but since there is serotonin in the brain AND in the GI tract, it makes sense that headaches and IBS would go hand in hand. At least certain types of headaches. Are yours menstrual?
Alright thanks. I don't think I have. I've had headaches all of my life and I do have ibs so I got curious.
Hi,
I have IBS and suffer from migraines. The IBS goes in to over drive when I am having a migraine. I know alot of others who suffer from both also...
Have you seen a neurologist?
