Do you think these are signs of ALS

Hello-

I am 26 years old with three children youngest being 23 months.  I have been diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder and Severe Panic Disorder.  First I was put on 150mg of Effexor XR a day after a month they raised my dosage to 300mg a day and I take a 1mg Xanax at night to help sleep.  I recently started shaking alot and having muscle aches all over my body and muscle cramps in my legs.  My muscle aches are like in my arms, wrists, back.  I don't really seem to have any weakness just usually right afte an anxiety attack.  I also get blurred vision off and on.  My right wrist seems to bother me the most.  I also sometimes stumble over my words.  I am terrified that this might be the early signs of ALS.  I went to my Doctor when these started and he said that he thought it was a combination of side effects from the effexor xr and my anxiety, and referred me to a psychiatrist.  I also am working for a lady whos husband has ALS.  Do you think this sounds anything like ALS???  My biggest fear is dieing and leaving my children.

Without examining you I cannot make a clinical diagnosis. Given your age and the mixture of symptoms you are having I think it is unlikely that you have ALS. I would agree with seeing the psychiatrist to see if this couldbe a medication side effect. Good luck.

Almost impossible that you have an ALS. You are too young and all what you mentioned look like BFS. You have seen ALS patient and that triggered neuro system. you are in hyper exciting state. Try to calm down your metabolism. Klonopin is relatively good. Ask your neurologist or GP.

Hey thanks for your info.  I am trying to calm myself as best I can.  I go see my Psych. on Tuesday and hopefully they can get my meds straightened out so I can quit panicking.  Thanks again
