Does ADD in Adults cause memory Loss?

Just a general question I am 33 yrs old and have been through several traumatic events, in a nut shell my dad died when I was 21 of terminal brain cancer, my husband died 3 weeks later of cancer as well, 5 years ago my mother had a stroke. Now I am noticing some things with myself specifically with respect to memory loss, or should I say just not remembering the names for certain items. I was told that this could be because I just dont find it important and that I may have adult ADD. The words that I mess up a lot on are, I will ask my kids too put their feet on their shoes, when I actually mean put their shoes on their feet, It is starting to freak me out that I forget the words for things. People keep telling me that its just that I have so much going on and everything seems the same and thats why I don't use the correct words. Or that I am talking too fast and I don't take the time to think. Could this be something more serious. I have had a CAT scan about 4 years ago just too rule out a tumor as I was getting headaches. Please advise. Thank You.

It is important to consider if you had the memory problems earlier, or they have appeared now. Adult ADD does not appear suddenly. Your anxiety seems to be pverwhelming. You seem to think of the consequence much earlier than the action itself. Please correct me if I am wrong. When you misplace words, it doesn't mean you have a memory problem. At the same time, I am not denying that you have a memory problem.

Please do not associate your current problem with any serious Brain disease (like tumor or stroke) as of now. It is possible that you are hassled by the environment around you, and probably you are anxious. Get yourself tested on a Neuropsychological battery. A Psychologist will be able to do it for you.

What did your CT scan reveal ?
