Does My wife Have A tumor

Hello sir/madam.  My wife has been experiencing neck pain as well as almost unbearable headaches....along with this she feels sick as well.  Shes had migraines since she was a little girl.  However her headaches are getting worse and more frequent.  We have gone to a neurologist and they gave her topamax, however, it has not done anything for her.  Its may 13th and she has had 8 headaches this month already and has felt sick for all of those headaches even vomiting once.  Her fingers start to tingle and im not sure if thats from the topamax or not.  Please help

Hi, topamax is prescribed for prevention of migraine attacks but cannot control ongoing attack. But she should be investigated before prescription of drugs like sumatriptan etc which have proven efficacy in acute attack of migraine.

Tingling sensations although are side effect of topamax but even in cases of migraine they do happen. She should get MRI done to rule out any organic lesion in brain, if all is normal in MRI report, she should be started with drugs. For more information visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migraine
