Does Vertigo cause a positive Rhomberg Test?

Does Vertigo cause a positive Rhomberg Test?

I hope I have vertigo and not something more serious.......when I close my eyes, I lose my balance just standing up, or walking toe to toe in a straight line with hands at sides (Rhomberg Test).........do people with vertigo usually have this reaction, or is it something more serious?  Thank you.

I have vertigo...and yes, it can cause that...however, my vertigo is due to Meniere's Disease.
My little brother has a type of muscular dystrophy and he loses his balance when closing his eyes as well.
Good thing I don't drink...I would always dread that the police would pull me over some day and test me lol.
