Does it sound like MS?

I've been having tingling sensations throughout my body.  Other symptoms (such as cognitive difficulties) can be due to sleep deprivation and/or
stress. All the tests are negative so far except for brain MRI that says "multiple small rounded white matter lesions
which is suspicious for a demyelinating disease, such as MS."   Is there a difinitvie test for MS?  Does this sound
like MS?  I would very much appreciate any feedback.  Thanks!

Did u check to see if u also have fibromyalgia?.....it is possible to also have this condition along with MS or ne thing else they may dx.

To find if u have  fibro there r 18 tender points and if u have 11 of the 18 then u have fibro.....it does cause cognitive issues!!

The fibro forum here on medhelp has health pages that list the tender points.

Thanks!  l haven't had any brain injury, and have never had a migriane.  I've
had many tests done (including thyroid, doppler, EMG, lupus, lymes, vits.,etc.)
although not LP.  I wonder if i'm supposed to just wait for an attack or get a
2nd opinion.  I'm scheduled for neuropsych. testing and am supposed to have
another brain MRI 6 mos. after the 1st one.  My biggest problem is with cognitive
difficulties.  I'm afraid the problems will get worse.   Thanks!  Rondi

HI, the lesions can be due to injury or migranies.....and yes can be an indicator for MS....it all depends on how many there r.

Since the lesions can be from other causes, the dr will most likly also do a LP....they check blood cells for signs of MS.

They will also run tests for lymes and lupus to rule them out as symptoms are similar.

If u have  a good dr he will do all this and run labs to check ur levels on...vitamin D, B12...calcium and magnessium or potassium ....low levels can cause the tingling symptoms. Ur thyroid should also be looked at if not already.

Good luck
