hi. I am suffering from peripheral neuropathy.Recent laboratory reports says that my total bilirubin is 1.6 mg/dl. unconj bilirubin 1.1 mg/dl. vitamin b12 value was 19800 which was quite high and that is due to vitamin supliments and injections. I am having abdominal pain , numbness and tingling in the hand and feet. I lost weight around 3 kgs. X ray report of chest and stomach is normal, ultra sonography of stomach was also normal. other all blood reports are normal. Serum folate is 16.6 ng/ml.

TSH is normal, doctor now told me that to stop all vitamin supplements and only take gabapentin 300 mg three tablets a day for 30 days.  but I read this are just anticonvulsants for pain. I am still suffering from the peripheral neuropathy.

I tested all the tests but still there is no clue what exactly happened. earier doctor told me that it wil be irritable bowel syndrome. pls help me out otherwiise I will sucide.

I have tested for diabetis all tests are normal.
I am having peripheral neuropathy and abdominal pain.

Pls guide.

How are you?
I can understand what you are going through but please be patient and relax. You may have to take gabapentin. It is an anticonvulsant but it works very well in neuropathy. Please follow the doctor’s prescription and take your medication.
This will help in resolving your symptoms.
