Drunk like symptons

Drunk like symptons

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on to my unusual situation.

My husband has episodes where he will come home from getting groceries or working all day and act like he is drunk. Symptoms like slurring of words, can't put sentences together, doesn't make sense when he talks and sometimes he is off balance. He has not had a single drop of alcohol. He has seen his physician who sent him for a CAT scan which revealed that he had an enlarged amydala. The doctor didn't seem concerned and told him not to worry about it. These symptoms happen at least once a week and I am getting worried, should I be concerned and get him to see another doctor?

Thanks

Hi and YES, get your husband back to a dr! I am not a dr but I had a similar experience a few weks ago and they thought it was a TIA.That is; a warning that a stroke could be coming. He should be under the care of a dr who knows what he is talking about.Even if it is not, I would rather the dr take it a bit more seriously.Try not to worry too much, it is a warning, not a stroke yet. With the right help and medication he may never have a stroke.I hope it all works out for you .Cath278.
